Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting tasks to support our financial operations. Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable invoices and ensure accurate and timely payments
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in the general ledger
- Assist with month-end closing procedures, including preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts
- Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies
- Assist with payroll processing using Kronos or UltiPro software
- Prepare financial reports and assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Assist with the preparation of audit documentation and support auditors during the annual audit
- Provide support to other members of the finance team as needed
Requirements:
- Hotel/Hospitality experience preferred
- Proven experience working as an Accounting Clerk or similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Proficient in 10-key typing for efficient data entry
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Familiarity with financial services industry is a plus
